Peggy O’Grady is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working with children and families in community non-profits as well as medical social work.  She has been a social worker at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco for 15 years in oncology and most recently at the Pediatric Brain Center.  In former work for more than ten years, she served as a social worker at Catholic Charities’ Immigration Program and as a social worker and organizer at the Central American Refugee Organizing Project, supporting the direct service and advocacy work of the local refugee community and the development of Sanctuary congregations throughout the SF Bay Area.  Along with other social workers, she continues to work to educate staff at BCH on immigrant rights and advocate for safer hospital spaces
