Alejandra was born in Mexico City and Immigrated to the United States as a young child and now resides in Oakland. Growing up Alejandra witnessed her parents struggle navigating the health system, which motivated her to pursue her career in the Medical Field.  

Alejandra is currently the lead Navigator/Community Health Worker for the FINDconnect program at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland (BCH). Alejandra screens families, children and adolescence for basic social needs and helps connect them to community resources. Alejandra believes that partnering up with providers to address the social determinants of health will give families a better quality of life. Alejandra has over nine years of experience providing quality care to the community.
